Mariah Carey yibarutse impanga ebyiri

Mariah Carey, the singer, and her husband Nick Cannon have become parents to a twin baby girl and boy.

The star gave birth at midday local time in Los Angeles, according to her representative, Cindi Berger.

Berger said the baby girl was born first, weighing five pounds, three ounces (2.35 kilograms), and tall; her brother was next, at five pounds six ounces (2.44 kilograms).
She said the couple have not named the children yet.
Cannon, 30, drove Carey, 41, to the hospital in their Rolls-Royce Phantom. Berger said Carey believed it was a false alarm.
He was so nervous he went to the wrong department at hospital and had to be guided to the maternity ward by a nurse.
"It was like right out of an 'I Love Lucy' skit," said Berger, referring to the 1950s TV comedy.
The couple are expected to renew their wedding vows on Sunday. They married in 2007 after a whirlwind romance.
Carey previously had a miscarriage but did not make it public until she announced her latest pregnancy in the autumn. Carey and Cannon plan to live in both New York and Los Angeles.
